New Thursday FP
New Foundation Program March 27
The new Foundation Program class will begin Thursday
March 27, and will be held at St. Barts. on Thursday
evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, taught by Buddhist nun
Kelsang Tsoglam, an experienced practitioner and
popular teacher from Chakrasambara Center in

Books on Buddhism & Meditation
The classes at the center are based on the books of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, which are available from all good bookstores and online from Tharpa Publications.
With over a quarter of a million books sold, Geshe Kelsang is is greatly respected author whose books range from basic introductory meditation manuals to advanced tantric commentaries. |
Resident Teacher of Vajra Light Center
The talks in White Plains are given by Buddhist teacher Kadam Morten.
A senior teacher of the New Kadampa Tradition, Kadam Morten has been studying and practicing under the guidance of the renowned meditation master and author Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for 26 years.
Kadam Morten taught Buddhism for over ten years in Europe before coming to the United States in 1994. Since then he has been the resident teacher at Chakrasambara Buddhist Center in Manhattan and has helped establish branch Centers in the boroughs of New York, Long Island and New Jersey. After having helped establish Vajra Light Center, Kadam Morten then focused on teaching in Manhattan. He will now once again be teaching regularly here in Westchester.
Kadam Morten is greatly admired by his students for his clear and humorous teachings and for his joyful and loving manner.
Vajra Light Buddhist Center
Vajra Light Buddhist Center (VLBC) was founded in 2001 by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition. The Center makes the special methods for developing inner peace taught within Kadampa Buddhism available to the people of Westchester and neighboring counties.
VLBC was originally a branch of Chakrasambara Buddhist Center in New York City with which it remains closely affiliated.
VLBC is a member of the International Union of Kadampa Buddhist centers with over 1000 Centers worldwide.
